Charles
H. Sacks, D.M.D.
Charles H. Sacks, D.M.D., was born and raised in Gwynedd Valley, Pennsylvania.
He graduated from Wissahickon High School in 1974. In 1978, he graduated
from Temple University with a B.S. degree in psychology. In 1980,
he graduated with his M.S. in biology from Drexel University. He graduated
from Temple University School of Dentistry in 1984.
Dr. Sacks began his professional
career in 1984 in Spring House. At that time, he joined the practice
of Dr. Ralph MacMurtrie, who had been practicing dentistry in Spring
House since 1955. Dr. Sacks bought Dr. MacMurtrie's practice in 1986.
Both doctors worked together until Dr. MacMurtrie's retirement in
1993.
Dr. Sacks has been married
for 18 years to his wife, Linda, who is also a graduate of Wissahickon
High School. Linda manages a civil engineering firm in Blue Bell,
Pennsylvania. They have two sons.
Dr. Sacks keeps his knowledge
of the latest dental technology current by annually attending more
than 50 hours of continuing education in the field of dentistry and
associated services. He is skilled in all phases of dentistry but
primarily focuses his practice in cosmetic dentistry, fixed prosthodontics,
and implant dentistry.
Dr. Sacks is also involved
in community services. He is on the board of the Ambler YMCA and does
volunteer work with the children at St. Mary's Home in Ambler. Recently,
inducted into Wisahickon School District Hall of Fame.
Stewart V. Haggerty,
D.M.D.
Dr. Haggerty was born in Reading, Pennsylvania. He entered the University
of Pennsylvania in 1950 and played football under George Munger. In
1954, he graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a B.A.
degree in chemistry.
Dr. Haggerty was commissioned
as an Ensign in the United States Navy in 1954 and entered flight
training in Pensacola, Florida. He spent 7 years as a pilot in the
Navy, flying over the Far East. His last 2 years in the Navy were
spent at the University of Mississippi teaching NROTC.
Dr. Haggerty entered dental
school at the University of Pennsylvania in 1961 and graduated in
1965. He spent 1 year in an oral surgery rotation at Philadelphia
General Hospital. He entered private practice in Ambler in 1965. In
1994, he joined Gwynedd Dental.
Dr. Haggerty is a member
of the ADA and a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry. Specializing
in mini implants to support dentures and crowns.
His favorite pastimes are
fishing, wood-carving, and tinkering around his shore home in Avalon,
New Jersey.
Howard M. Dunetz, D.M.D.
Howard M. Dunetz was born in Brooklyn, New York, and was raised on
Long Island. He graduated from Hewlett High School in 1974. He was
awarded Eagle rank by the Boy Scouts of America and participated on
the jumping and cross-country teams.
He graduated from the State
University of New York at Stony Brook in 1978 with a B.S. degree and
graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine
in 1983.
Dr. Dunetz entered private
practice in 1983 in Syracuse, New York. He completed more than 500
hours of postgraduate education in just his first few years of practice.
Dr. Dunetz keeps his knowledge of the latest dental technology current
by annually attending continuing dental education courses. He focuses
his practice on root canal therapy and cosmetic dentistry.
Dr. Dunetz moved to lower
Gwynedd in 1987, establishing a practice in Blue Bell. He joined the
Gwynedd Dental in 1991.
Dr. Dunetz is married to
Celeste Perla-Dunetz, owner of Montoco Reporting Service, a court-reporting
agency. They have two children, Alexander and Analise. He has a wide
range of interests, which include reading, horticulture, bonsai, canoeing,
hiking, bicycling, long-distance running, and the sport of squash.
Recently inducted into the Wissahickon School District Hall of Fame.
Inessa Slipak, D.M.D.
Dr. Inessa Slipak was born and raised in Belorussia (former USSR).
She and her family emigrated to the United States in 1990 and settled
in Rockland County, NY. She graduated from Ramapo High School in 1994.
Upon graduation Dr. Slipak entered Brandeis University. She graduated
in 1998 with a BA degree in Medical Sociology and Health Law.
Dr. Slipak entered NYU College of Dentistry
in 1998, and graduated in 2002 with a DDS degree. She also completed
a surgical residency at Albert Einstein Hospital in Philadelphia.
Dr. Slipak entered private practice in Newton,
PA, concentrating on restorative and cosmetic procedures. She joined
Gwynedd Dental Associates in June of 2004.
Dr. Slipak takes many continuing education courses
to keep her knowledge of current dental materials, techniques and
technology. She is especially interested in the area of cosmetic dentistry.
Dr. Slipak and her husband Felix welcomed their
son Jacob in 2005. They are enjoying parenthood tremendously. In the
small amount of free time that she has, Dr. Slipak enjoys reading,
cooking, painting and playing with her two dogs, Sophie and Midnight.
Jeffrey M. Rosen, D.M.D.
Jeffrey M. Rosen, D.M.D. was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. and graduated
from Erasmus Hall H.S. He graduated from N.Y.U. in 1973 with a B.A
degree. Dr. Rosen attended the University of Pennsylvania School of
Dental Medicine and graduated in 1977.
In 1981, he purchased a dental practice in Allentown, PA which he
continues to maintain. Dr. Rosen has been an instructor in the dental
residency program at Muhlenberg Medical Center in Bethlehem, PA. He
attended a 2 year continuing education program in orthodontics through
the American Orthodontic Society. He is a past secretary of the Barclay
Study Group.
Dr. Rosen stays on the cutting edge of dentistry
through numerous continuing education courses. He has taken courses
with many of the leading cosmetic clinicians in the world. Dr. Rosen
practices general dentistry with special interest in cosmetics, minimally
invasive dentistry, TMJ and headache treatment. He is a one of a handful
of dentists on the Lumineers referral list.
Dr. Rosen lives in Ft. Washington with his wife
Barbara, a senior organizational development practitioner and their
two children. In his spare time he enjoys cooking, composing music
and reading.
